St Volodymyr Ukrainian Catholic Church in Santa Clara, CA

On the first Friday of the month, our parish held its first night vigil, gathering the faithful for prayer and spiritual renewal.

Before the vigil began, everyone had the opportunity to receive the Holy Mystery of Confession, followed by the Divine Liturgy. Afterward, the faithful prayed the Moleben to the Holy Martyr, Blessed Nicholas Charnetsky, with special prayers for healing. The service concluded with the blessing of oil and anointing of all present for the healing of soul and body.

In his homily, Fr. Roman emphasized the importance of prayer in the life of every Christian and spoke about the role of angels who accompany us in spiritual battle, helping us remain steadfast in faith and service to God.

The vigil became a special time of unity, silence, and grace, reminding everyone that God is close to those who seek Him in prayer.
