Our parish recently held another Coffee Talk meeting dedicated to the memory of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky. This time, the discussion focused on his message “How to Build Our Home,” in which he shares his vision for the spiritual and social renewal of the Ukrainian people.
In his opening remarks, Fr. Roman spoke about Metropolitan Andrey’s great role in the history of Ukraine — as a spiritual leader, thinker, and builder of national life. He noted that Sheptytsky’s work reached far beyond religion, touching also on culture, education, and the economy. The main idea of the message was that every person and nation should build life on God, and that raising children and young people in faith is essential. Strong families create a strong society.
After the introduction, participants watched a documentary film about Metropolitan Andrey’s life and ministry, which helped everyone appreciate his deep faith and love for his people.
In the second part of the meeting, Mr. Borys Senyk, a financial advisor from TransAmerica, gave a presentation on how to build financial stability in the family. He emphasized the importance of financial literacy, budget planning, and protecting the family’s future through life insurance.
The meeting ended with friendly conversation, good coffee, and an open exchange of ideas. The atmosphere was warm and inspiring, filled with gratitude and a desire to follow the wisdom of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky in everyday life.
