“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”
Luke 5:16
When the travelers looked at the night sky, they did not hear the noise of the cities, the music, or voices – only silence. And it was in that silence that they noticed the Star. God most often speaks to us when our hearts are calm. Yet we live in a world where silence has become almost a luxury: phones, news, messages – everything pulls us into its current.
Try today to stop. Turn off the noise, put the chaos on hold. In silence, something changes: thoughts settle, the heart softens, and the soul becomes able to hear again. God does not shout. He whispers. And His voice is like the light of that Star, showing the way. Perhaps in that silence you will hear the answer you have been seeking.
Task: Spend five minutes in complete silence: no phone, no talking, no music. Just be in God’s presence.
