“As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.”Colossians 3:12
Today I invite you to look at your clothing… but not the kind hanging in your closet. I mean the “clothing” we put on our soul.
If we look honestly into our inner wardrobe, each of us will find something different there. Often we wear things that don’t fit us at all: fear, complaining, distrust, despair, anger, lack of love for ourselves and others. It’s like old, torn clothes we’ve gotten used to.
During this journey, try to go through your inner wardrobe. Whenever you notice yourself putting on something heavy and old again — switch it for something better.
Fear — for trust.
Lack of love — for love.
Doubt — for hope.
Irritation — for peace.
Complaining — for gratitude.
This is your spiritual “style update” before Christmas.
