The Wise Men set out on a long and exhausting journey because a deep desire burned in their hearts to find the Newborn King. They were not frightened by the unknown, the cold desert nights, or the dangers of the road. They did not fear Herod — a powerful ruler whose heart was filled with darkness. They were guided by the Star, but they walked forward because of their faith and their longing to encounter God.
Their journey reminds us of a simple yet profound truth: the road yields to the one who walks it. You can know the direction, have a dream, and see your “star,” but without taking the first step, the path will never open. God always gives light — but we must choose to walk.
