Why Is It Important to Be Registered with the Parish?
A parish is more than just a church where we come together for Divine Liturgy. It is a community of people who pray together, support one another, and share in the joy and responsibility of parish life.
We therefore invite everyone who regularly attends our parish to officially register as a parishioner. Registration helps us better understand and serve our community and also makes it easier to handle many important church and administrative matters.
- Easier preparation for the Holy Mysteries
Baptisms of children, enrollment in catechetical classes, participation as godparents or witnesses, especially preparation for the Mystery of Marriage (in our parish, another parish, or even abroad) requires confirmation of your participation in parish life. If you are not registered, this process can be significantly delayed. - Letters of recommendation
In some cases, a letter from the pastor is needed-for example, for admission to a Catholic school, obtaining a scholarship, or confirmation of the possibility of being a godparent. Without registration, the parish cannot issue such a document. - So we can better serve you
When the parish does not know its faithful, it is difficult to understand the spiritual and practical needs of the community. This applies to both individuals and young families who may not realize the importance of registration. - Prayer on your birthday or wedding anniversary
If we know your date of birth or wedding, the priest can pray especially for you on this blessed day. - Participation in parish meetings and voting
Registered parishioners have the right to participate in important decisions in the life of the parish. - Eligibility to be elected to the Pastoral or Economic Council
Registration is necessary to participate in service through the parish advisory and governing bodies.
