This Sunday, July 26, our parish community was filled with prayer, gratitude, and special moments of God’s blessing.
After the Divine Liturgy, parishioners had the opportunity to pray before the relics of Saint Charbel, asking for his intercession for our families, for all those who are sick, and for everyone who especially needs God’s help, healing, and support.
Following the prayer, we had the traditional blessing of vehicles. This beautiful tradition is connected with the feast of Saint Elijah the Prophet, whom the Church honors as a great prophet of God and a heavenly protector of those who travel. Through the intercession of Saint Elijah, we prayed that the Lord would protect all drivers, passengers, and everyone who travels, granting them safety, wisdom, and a peaceful return home.
On this day, we also prayed for all our parishioners who celebrated birthdays and other important milestones throughout the month of July. A particularly joyful moment was singing “Mnohaya Lita” (“Many Years”) for our youngest parishioners: Joseph, who celebrated his 14th birthday, and little Lev Mark, who turned one year old.
May the Lord richly bless every member of our parish family, granting health, peace, joy, strong faith, and His constant care. May the prayers of the saints and our heavenly protectors guide us each day and bring us closer to God’s love.
